Here’s what SPWV members say about our wedding association...
When I heard about the SPWV I thought what a bloody good idea! You sign up to a code of conduct and couples researching on the site know that all the suppliers on there are following those ethics. That's huge for me because being ethical is one of my core values as a person and as a business.
Founding Member SPWV
I think couples are looking for that little bit of reassurance that the suppliers they are booking are genuine and that they can be trusted. By displaying the SPWV badge I believe this will help attract more clients and in particular the right type of client who cares about quality.
Founding Member SPWV
It is so important for wedding customers to know they are dealing with someone who is trustworthy and honest and this group does just that. So if you are a wedding vendor join up as it is great for your brand

Donna spent ten years as a wedding photographer and also spent a year planning weddings at a local wedding venue. She did a diploma in photography in 2009 and took the wedding planning course with the UKWA in 2017. She has never stopped educating herself as she believes knowledge is a gift and now she wants to share that gift with you.
The idea for the SPWV was founded in 2015 but had been building across her entire wedding career and she has been excited to create a society of like minded people who also believe, as she does, that couples deserve to receive a professional service from a friendly vendor that sees people not pound signs.
Donna lives in Northamptonshire, with her 20 year old daughter, her extremely supportive tech savvy boyfriend and her two fur babies Twinkle & Kitty who you may see or hear in live videos.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm already in other memberships. Why should I join this one too?
Our Code of Conduct is why you should join. Being able to tell clients that you abide by a code of conduct adds an extra layer of trust when clients are looking to book vendors. After 2020 a year of turmoil for couples and vendors alike, couples will be looking for that added reassurance.
Not all trade societies and associations ask you to prove your relevant experience in the trade or provide proof of insurances and contracts to ensure you are running professionally. We do, so you know this community will be full of people who take their profession seriously. Couples will also know you take your business seriously.
Weddings by their nature are highly pressured events. By being part of the SPWV you are showing couples you understand the pressure they face to get it right first time and that you can handle that pressure too.
When will I get access to the FB Group?
There will be a link in your welcome email to the Facebook Group. You will need to confirm your email address the one you register with to access the FB group. Requests are manually approved. The aim is to give everyone access within 24 hours of their request.
How do I send you my proof?
Once you have signed up you will have 21 days to provide your proof and fill in the new member application. You will receive a reminder if it is not completed within the first 10 days.
The application form is a google form and you will need a google account to fill it in. You will get an email with a link to the form, if you don't have a google account please reply to the email and we will help you.
If you have any issues completing your application, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anyone who doesn't provide proof will be removed as a member and their subscription cancelled.
What is your refund policy?
The Society is an annual membership paid monthly or annually. It is expected that monthly payers will stay for the full year.
Members will have a 14 day cooling off period. If you decide SPWV is not for you, you can cancel. Annual payers will be refunded 11 months of subscription fees and will retain access to the membership until the end of the current calendar month. Monthly payers will have access to the membership until the end of the calendar month and no further payments will be taken.
As this is an annual membership there will be no refunds after the 14 days cooling off period for annual members. You will have access to the society for the period you have paid for. Monthly payers are expected to pay their fees for the year.
If you cancel, you lose your good standing as a member and therefore your locked-in-price. If you wished to re-join you would have to pay the prices that are payable at that time.
Which membership is right for me?
If you are new to the industry and have yet to complete 10 weddings from start to finish you should choose the backend membership.
This membership gives you access to the education and community sides of the membership so you can start to build connections and work on streamlining your business processes.
If you have completed 10 or more weddings then your experience is deemed sufficient for full membership and you should choose the full membership option which gives us the ability to promote you publicly, on our directory and social media channels.
I have a question how do I get it answered?
You can email email@example.com or feel free to DM me on instagram @donnaspwv and i'll be happy to answer your questions.
